"Utilized? Focused? Energized?" The entire premise of centrally-directed economics is that a Yale law school graduate in Washington knows more about how things work than anybody else does. Meanwhile, they display staggering ignorance on a daily basis.
I don't approve of "targeted" tax cuts. Across-the-board tax cuts put wealth back into the hand of those who know best what to do with it without favoritism. Nor do I approve of specific industry subsidies. Note that I don't define things that take the government monkey off the back of an industry as "subsidies," although most liberals do.
And do you understand why laws against lead in crayons are of a completely different nature?
^You are also wrong about artificial selection. Plants and animals can also be bred to be strong and sturdy, not needing coddling.^
Purebred race horses? Poodles? I can think of only a handful of domestic animals where the selection has not resulted in something that would probably live for about a week in the wild. The entire function of animal breeding is to create something of use to the owners.
