... I just learned from our local newsreporter that Sonograms ALONG with Mammograms are encouraged for women over 50, ESPECIALLY for those with a history of breast cancer. She was actually encouraging women to not only get a mammogram, but also a sonogram if you are over 40. She's in her forties, had a mammogram and they found nothing, but when a sonogram was perfomed, there were several VERY small lumps that were found and lucky for her, they were benign.
Soooo, it does make sense to me what my local newscaster said.
