It's just that to the scientists, 1 life saved our of 5,000 isn't the best bang for your buck. Guess it's not their mother, wife, sister, daughter that will die of breast cancer. As long as it's the other guy's mother, wife, sister or daughter, it's OK. Scientists don't have families. Or at least the families never see them.
