In August, the Obama administration told us we would have 120 million doses by the time the season got underway. This was scaled back to 45 million. The last number I heard was 26 million.
You can blame whoever you want, and last I saw from NPR, Axelrod is dumping the blame on the manufacturers. The point was that the government promised us something, and - who knew - they weren't able to deliver what they promised. Of course, it's not their fault. It's never their fault.
This is one aspect of government-run health care. Just one.
How many issues now (national security, jobs, the economy) have we heard from the government things along the lines of "we had no idea it would be this hard," "This was unexpected," and other excuses of that type for failures so far? Other than "it's Bush's fault" of course. You did notice Axelrod invoking Katrina?
