it was inevitable the right would jump on this to push their agenda and try to twist it into a health care reform talking point. the new guidelines are designed to redirect resources, government and private, where they can do some good, and are the result of commissioned studies showing that mammograms prior to age 50 are often inconclusive, give false positives, and when averaged out, lead to no overall reduction in mortality. of course, if lee really insists on a mammogram, there's nothing to stop him from paying for his own.
