Lee recognized this as a warning sign of what we could expect when we fold our current system into a government-controlled one. Which, despite all the double talk and lip service about "competition," is the goal of the Democratic Party.
The result would be a monopolistic health care system whose standards are arbitrary, set by politically-favored experts for political motivations, and result in medical care rationed according to those standards.
You get your H1N1 shot yet? Are you in the "right" group according to the current standards? Were you tracking the promises of availability over the past months and comparing it with the current reality?
If you have trouble assembling discrete incidents into larger abstract concepts, that's not my problem. I don't expect you to cower away. It would be nice if you kept up.
