What part of a government diktat don't you consider to be a government takeover? Leftists plan on running private insurance companies out of business by forcing these demands on them. These are price controls, pure and simple. Force them to offer plans for a price below the actual cost of those plans, which will lead to them going out of business. Why can't you see that?
Destroy the competition, then come in when they're gone. Destroy the old order in order to create a vaccuum, then fill that vaccuum.
