Defining conservatism
Your description of modern conservatism certainly applies to some current conservatives but your definition, which amounts to 'self-righteous, paranoid, fascists' (you forgot racist), is a bit unfair to the rest of us, don't you think?
Or am I mistaken and you are referring to a narrow absorption line on the political spectrum?
