Re: lucky

^If he had done nothing, you would blame him for the massacre...^

That's just inane. How many mass murders or other human rights obscenities have been going on over there or elsewhere in the world in the past few years? Who have you heard yelping for the President to "do something about it?" Conservatives? Me? In February, something like 100 protestors were gunned down in Bahrain. What got done about that? Or is there a lower limit where "massacres" don't count? What's the minimum number needed to bring us into a civil war? And yes, we're in it. It's become obvious that the rebels aren't going to be worth beans without constant military support against their enemies.

"We went in to prevent a massacre" is bullshit, designed to impress Obama's starry-eyed base. Hell, he probably believes it himself. But this is probably why Europe went in, and we got hauled along after the fact because a majority voted in 2008 for an empty suit. Do you honestly think he would have been first off the line if the other nations hadn't pushed hard?

^I bet your prayers are not that he's lucky, but that the worst possible happens, so you can smugly point to his failure, and so you can find a reason to revel in and blame your political enemies for the embarrassment and humiliation of his country, my country, and yours. You're quite a piece of work.^

You know, sometimes someone leaves themselves so wide open it would almost be bad form to follow through, but after eight years of shitstorm against Bush and Iraq I'm surprised people's heads don't explode when they post stuff like that. I'll grant you weren't the worst of the lot.

I posted a link to this at the beginning of the war in Iraq (scroll down). Remember back then? How did that go?
