I don't know of any retired military personal getting over 6 figures at age of 50. And that's one of the points. The other is the way unions have structured how much you can receive in retirement.

My grandfather retired as a fire chief and he never saw that kind of money and I have friends and family who are policemen and they even think the current retirement system is out of control. There are many loopholes that need to be fixed.
