I'm certainly not going to argue that our government is not bloated.
I'm just not sure that now is the time to try and fix it. It should have been addressed long ago. Instead, Bush added another agency, Homeland Security, when what was needed was restructuring and increased efficiency. I have always liked lean and mean. Israeli intelligence, Mossad, is legendary. They surely do not have the resources that we do, yet, our CIA is not the same caliber of agency. Of course, part of that has to do with cultural unity.
