And I will not argue that consolidated a bunch of civil defense organizations under one Superagency was a good idea. In fact, creating giant organizations that do many different things under one umbrella is rarely a good idea. However, that's not what's costing us the money. You want to really yell at Bush, yell about his shiny new entitlement. Or more power to the Feds in education. Both of those sucked, and the former was another long-term deficit-buster.
