I'm sorry, Eri. I know how hard it is out there, even if some others refuse to see it. I realize perfectly well how lucky I am, and how obscene it would be for me to claim my luck as evidence of my work ethic, civic virtue, or superior morality.

The let-them-eat-cake crowd has always been with us, and they have always cloaked themselves in a mantle of smug self-righteousness. And they never seem to have enough. They always want more.
