Krugman won the prize for some obscure point of economics he wrote about in 1979. He has degenerated into a typical leftist who believes the government can spend an infinite amount of money and we just have to raise infinite taxes.
Milton Friedman is also a Nobel winner, and his views are diametrically opposed to everything Krugman believes. Go figure.
