Re: huh?

Okay. My apologies to you for trying to take cheap shot. I was trying to keep in the spirit of the Flame board. Still, it was immature of me and I apologies. You were coming across as a Reagan\conservative hater who, no matter how much evidence one shows two, will not budge an inch. With those kind of people, I hate wasting my time digging up facts when they will dismiss them with out reading them.

What I don’t like is people who won’t give Reagan credit where he is do. Saying he ended the cold war single handily is wrong, but he played a big part in it. His growing friendship with Gorbachev was the key factor in the reduction of missiles on both sides. Had they not had such a relationship, I doubt both countries would have significantly reduced their nukes. And this goes back to what I was saying earlier in this thread about the threat of global nuclear war being gone. If it wasn’t for Reagan and Gorbachev that threat would have been around for a long time, and maybe even today.

Today we no longer have to fear the USSR dropping nukes on us. We just have to worry about terrorist smuggling one or two in our country. The big difference between terrorist nukes and the USSR nukes. An exchange between the USSR and US would have ended human life on the Earth
