And this guy is a Troll. If he responded to 'correction' with honest effort, then that would be something. What he does, however, is ask the same absurd questions about the asame absurd thing over and over and over again.
Plant X, for example. All of us has thrown links at him, assured him that it does not exist, dubunked arguments for him. but ALL THE TIME he comes back with a link or a story about planet X.
There is a difference between honest ignorance and militant ignorance. honest ignorance is displayed when people allow themselves to be informed or pointed at the truth. Some people live for discovering their own ignorance and seeking out the truth. Others will huff a little, but they will put out honest effort.
Militant ignorance is the absolue refusal to do ANY work on your own to gain competence. Often it is combined with a desire to get OTHERS to spoon-feed you solutions that you can memorize. Even more often it is combined with outright refusal to accept you are wrong. We all know this- People quote Eistein or Hawking about "bold vision" and "daring thoughts" and say "prove me wrong" (which of course, is impossible).
Sam is not the full-on militant ignoramus, but people treated him (and some still do) really nice and meticulously refuted his sources and tried to point him at basic info. He has refused to 'get up to speed' (even a snails pace) at all on anything folks here have offered. He still is posting about Planet Tex or whatever, he is still asking the same questions, he still refuses to go find out anything for himself.
Personally, I think he is a bright kid, or someone else here, doing this for fun.
Either way, he is disrespecting all of us, is a troll, and deserves every lick of flame he gets.
But thats just my Humble opinion.
