You are more reasonable than some people here about seeing both sides of this. While you may not have not blamed the military as such, many others have. Certainly the entire Arab world.

I agree that the military is probably working on this problem. In a mobile situation, it's impossible to build real gates and barriers. Using trucks as movable roadblocks might work, but would slow things down immensely, like moving supplies and such down a road. Military types here might know of other procedures.

With any luck, it may be the last incident like this until the Iraqi thugs think up something else. Maybe a little girl told to give her teddy to a soldier and omitting the fact that her backpack is full of dynamite. And they'd do it, too.

Followed by distributing empty backpacks to every little girl in sight.
