I seem to recall reading that the platoon commander ordered (after the tradgedy) that signs in arabic be posted well in front of the Bradley's giving instructions to any vehicles coming through the checkpoint. Its a start, and I think our soldiers are doing everything they can to keep this incident from repeating itself. Unfortunatly the boots on the ground can't think of everything in advance, but please do give them some credit for trying to fix it.
Some of your posts have come across, to me at least, as if Iraq is a free fire zone where no regard for noncombatants is taken into account by the US military. I think the opposite is the case. I hope I'm just misreading your posts.
