<What was the FEAR that brought us to our knees and made us send nearly a quarter million troops to take out the the most evil leader of our times?
Why, he was going to kill us all with his Weapons of Mass Destruction!
Exactly.
Also, blease recall:
* the open assaults made agaist Israel during Desert Storm
* the open threats from Hussein to do the same during Iraqi Freedom
* the open assaults during Iraqi Freedom on Kuwaiti civilians
* the reward system Hussein set up for Palestinian martyrs
* the al-Qai'da training camps discovered within Iraq
* the close ties Iraqi government had with global terror organizations
* the WMD systems Iraq employed, continued to have access to, and likely sold to global terror organizations
* the fact that Desert Storm never really ended
Hell, they barely even fought back.
Were you expecting a play-off? This is not sports, Lindy. This is war. The sooner you devistate the enemy, the weaker they become, and the stronger your chances for success -- as well as the better the odds of less colateral damage (you didn't like that one, remember?)
All our worries for our soldiers were groundless.
Tell that one to the families of the dead, then sit down and debate it with our recovered POWs.
Taking Iraq was a cakewalk.
As planned.
What our soldiers lost were parts of their souls.
And we just rolled over.
You may have rolled, girl. I'm still here.
Cheers,
Dan
