He's been in power since 1978 I believe and WE HELPED PUT HIM THERE. Oh Dan will say "Sometimes you just gotta shoot your own dog", and half of you feared WMD, or he was in defiance of 1441 (like about 28 other countries), or that he was torturing his own citizens.
You all went along with whatever the reason was for the moment, and because we wooped them, and we're occupying Bagdad, you feel vindicated?

What?
That our military could make it to Bagdad?
I had no doubts. I feared for our soldiers, feared they'd get nuked or gassed on bio-bombed. None of that happened.
Sadam and his regime fled.
Maybe he's looking up Bin Laden as we speak.......

Well, we we're living in peace, they were living in peace.
We still everything. They have less than before.
Their markets, water and elctrical supplies are gone.
The price of freedom?

Well, I think we'll only see those photo ops of them baking bread, and the cities in the south where cars are back on the road.
I can say I think their "liberation" has it's good points, but I think the clean-up and the after math just won't be worth it. Not to mention the anquish of the families of the dead, and the hardships of those left homeless and hungry, injured and shell-shocked.

Unless of course, your last name is Bush or Cheney and your bank account is going to roll into a few more zeroes with Iraqi oil profits and building contracts.
Peace won't come to the region.
Haven't you seen what's happening in Afganistan?

Right.

It's my opinion this war wasn't justified. Just my opinion.
And this a bbs where we share opinions. The vitriol I get from the moral conservatives over here reminds me of Baptist preachers high on their moral pedestal.
And it stinks.
Just my opinion.
