Re: Why War?

So the fact that even the United Nations believes that Iraq was/is in possession of chemical and biological weapons means nothing to you?

The fact that U.N. Resolution 1441 specifically stated, "Recognizing that Iraq's non-compliance with Council resolutions and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and long-range missiles poses to international peace and security" means nothing to you.

The fact that Iraq never did account for 8,500 liters of anthrax, 19,000 liters of botulinim toxin, 2,200 liters of aflatoxin, and 25 Scud missiles tipped with these chemicals, all of which Iraq had previously ADMITTED to posessing, means nothing to you.

As far as the Iraqi army not putting up much of a fight, you should be glad the resistance against our men and women was lighter than expected, rather than using it as some form of criticism.

Just because the Iraqi army was no match for the military might of the United States does NOT mean that it was innocuous. It does not take a world dominating military force to oppress, torture, and murder unarmed civilians. Iraq is the perfect example of this. No, the Iraqi army was no match for the United States, but the Iraqi people were no match for the Iraqi army.

Your statement that, "All our worries for our soldiers were groundless" is nothing short of obscene.

Tell the families of the men and women that were protecting your right to come and post on this site that their worries were "groundless."

Tell the families of the 128 soldiers who were killed in this war that their worries were "groundless."

How dare you say such a thing.
