One of the advantages of coming along late to the thread is that you've had a chance to fully flesh out your thesis. The core part of it seems to be that there's a corollary between violence and intelligence:
Do you think that maybe that [the alleged 30 point spread in IQ] might have *something* to do with the violent predilection of the residents?
Trust me, roving killing mobs require a certain level of unintelligence in the composition, that when present, effectively counteracts progress and civility.
Nonviolent peoples are the byproduct of "enlightened" cultures - cultures which had enough intelligent folks who could see that killing your neighbor was counterpruductive to a people's growth and cohesiveness. Not only did they have to have folks intelligent enough to spawn such thoughts, but they had to have folks intelligent enough to generally grasp them and value them in quantity among the masses of the general population.
Und so weiter...
I wonder then, SDAI-Tech1, how you would explain a few characteristics of American society: A murder rate much higher than any other "first world" nation. The highest incarceration rate in the world, surpassing even Russia recently. The popularity of violent spectator sports, particularly wrestling (surely you've watched "WWF" on TV). The popularity of violent video games compared to all other genres. Rap music. The high level of violence in entertainment in general. Militia, white supremacists, and NeoNazis. Lee.
I could go on and on coming up with examples of the violent nature of American society, but those are a good place to start. By your thesis, Americans in general are some of the dumbest people on the planet.
