intelligent, a.
1.knowing;understanding;well informed;sensible;having intelligence;skilled

Keep a person illiterate and you take away the well informed, knowing and sensible parts of intelligent.

That leave folks acting on miniscule amounts information and historically these folks that are anti-US are information starved and when information is provided to them they become pro-US.

It's a safe bet that many of the anti-US folks, many of the suicide bombers, many of the rebel-roused religious fanatics are functionally or wholly illiterate.

Controlling the illiterate is easy - kindergarten teachers do it all the time with a few audible commands and intimidation. Adult muslim illiterates can be equally swayed by a few extremists and fanatics who exploit their illiteracy to do their bidding and funnel misinformation or outright lies to their prey.

That Cinderella complex is a hard one to overcome. The public schools spend so much time indoctrinating the "everyone is equal" flim-flam ad nauseum without understanding how flawed and destructive such rhetoric really is. At the same time they expound of the virtue of everyone being different. Such schizophrenic teachings is what passes for a liberal education.

I wish I had the time to devote solely to your particular case. You have the tools at your disposal for a big breakthrough in understanding. Someday you will realize equality is simply an ideal and not a reality - and it is not even a desirable ideal at that!!!

There is no shame in seeing that many nations aren't intellectually fit to dictate anything to the US or the west. Bending over in obeissance to non-western "pure" cultures is like the Kindergarten teacher getting on her knees and awaiting sage words of wisdom from her pupils.

Figure out where that little guilt complex lurks and unroot it. Or better yet, just take a trip to Iraq and get to know the people. The peaceful ones are much like children and eager to learn, the others are just like the disruptive students who know nothing more than the others but hate learning and like the power they feel when they disrupt their teachers. Except when they misbehave people tend to die.
