Different libraries have different emphases of course. My opinion is that any university library that has books discussing exobiology or astrobiology should also have Barry's book.
It's the first book that looked at the accumulating evidence of the harsh environments that extremophiles can survive in and gave scientific arguments for why these or similar organisms might survive on Mars.
