Between you and me (who are probably the only ones looking at this attenuated thread), I made the suggestion to the people who have something to lose by forgetting. That was on purpose.
Getting vetted feedback is important, professionally. Getting positive public attention, when space will have to be supported by the public in some way (either as taxpayers or as customers, and probably both), is crucial.
