I agree with your title and your points. My point is that many are here for reasons other than seeking a public platform. It's entertainment. They are blowing off steam.
When Nick, RL, or Alex wants professional treatment of their theories they will publish in a journal. I on the other hand deserve a slap on the wrist since this is a public platform for me, but as the old saying goes try walking in another person's shoes before criticizing them. Why don't you try pointing out Barry and EP's obvious errors and inconsistencies in a nice polite but insistent fashion and see how you get treated. Like I told Robert, I've seen many try it. Now you may be suggesting just turn the other cheek, but again please demonstrate you could do that before trying to shame others. I have never tried to antagonize you in any manner other than disagreeing with you strongly yet you seem to get testy at times. Imagine how you'd feel if you were typically slandered like Lindy? While I disagree with her most of the time I find her general treatment rather harsh.

Barry and EP get mad because their lack of expertise in areas they fashion themselves experts in is exposed, their critics get irritated and even mad because they are attacked personally. I think most people can see the difference, although it is still a turn off either way for many.
