Strange how you insist on open mindedness and an even review of the evidence yet feel there is no need for Barry to do the same. You fail to call a spade a spade when it comes to his numerous inaccuracies which are readily noticed by most here who make a living in science or engineering and even many interested amatuers.
I do not claim there is no evidence for life on Mars. I simply claim Barry is totally unqualified to judge the issue because he is a crank not a scientist. Just because Barry can find key issues with Levin's help does not excuse him for overlooking the data Levin has ignored as well which casts doubts on Levin's condlusions. I am quite willing to read books and article son both sides of the issue of life on Mars provided they are written by technically competant individuals.
You are making the silly argument that I should read a book by a scientific moron to get an even view on technical issues. Sorry bub the world is full of pseudoscientist scam artists and you are welcome to waste your time on them if you want. I won't. There's enough trouble separating the flawed data from the good data of real scientists without throwing in likely garbage to sort through.
Your hearts in the right place just not your bullshit detector. There's some good stuff available online about the value of science as a bullshit detector by Sagan and others. You need to find it.
Shame on you for making me exceed my usual word limit over such an obvious issue.
see ya
