re: Adware and Popup Stoppers
I was using my pop-up stopper heavily until I realized "I never had this problem before!"
I decided to format my hard drive, reinstall everything, and with each install watch for "adware" in the software license agreements. If there was something I would not allow it to be installed. Or if I had no choice, I would install it, but search out and destroy it afterward. Reinstalling everything while carefully watching for adware meant I knew what I was looking for when the latter option was unavoidable.
My computer is chugging along nicely now. In fact, I rarely get pop-up ads now. Come to think of it I haven't used my pop-up stopper in weeks!
