re: One Addition. . .

That was something genuine, for which I congratulate you!

Oh, well, uhm, . . thanks. and also I applaud you on such a swift and cordial response!

" to two countries that. . . just . . . so . . happen . . to borders Iran . . . ? "

You would have a point if those armies were not fully occupied with ...er .... occupation. As is, I think they are more exposed to attack from Iran (and certainly vulnerable to infiltration of attackers through Iran) than they are a threat to Iran.

Like I soaid to tom- if Iran decided to make a move, I think we would doubtlessly win- but it would not be an IraqiCakeWalk.

I think Iran has a few years to go before it becomes an issue. And I don't think they will 'make a move' so to speak. By then I would expect the Iraqi army to be much stronger and competent to handle matters on its own, and either a new administration would be in power here who would spin this as "completely different as we have real, live, hard, indisputable evidence that iran is developeing this capability". And in being a new administration they would be on thier credibility not Bushs' -OR- or a lame duck administration would be in place. Either way. . . (the more things change the more they stay the same)

I agree Iran would not be a cake walk. It is as mountanous as Afganistan, but with a real army there instead.

Obviously I would expect Aircraft operating out of Bagdad Int Aiport to lay waste to Irans military capability before we went in.

But in any case it certainly wouldn't be next year that iran becomes a real problem.

Regards,
Justin
