MPL and Beagle 2 had more in common than you might think.

There where several issues with MPL that could have caused it's failure. Don't bet on the coding thing. Testing was under funded on both missions and both would have been worth the extra costs if they had succeeded.

Don, don't let your past dislike of Barry color your judgement of a mission's worth.
