I think that the report issued tommorow will make perfectly just how problemmatic the entire Beagle 2 mission was from the very start. The origins of the Beagle 2 failure are entirely different than those of MPL. Beagle 2 was a bad idea from the very beginning from which failure was inevitable. In contrast, MPL was a good idea which could have avoided failure.

By the way, one of these days I intend to make it to one of your Puget Sound Mars Society Chapter Meetings.
