Leech, the equipment costs for adeqaute impactor detection are way to high for private organizations, and we can't afford to wate our money subsidizing multiple small ineffective efforts

Prizes would not be enough to cover costs, and there's no way to charge -

Dealing with this problem is a proper responsibility and function of government -

now those Mars rovers are another matter entirely...
