50 times more than the DARPA prize was invested in chasing it. Just because nobody would fund YOUR prize pursuits...

Hey sticky fingered tax leech:
In your whining post just now, right around where you misspelled benefit (Freud would say it's because you have never been a benefit) you suggested that nobody would fund research. Then how do you explain how 50 times more than the DARPA Grand Challenge prize was invested in chasing it? And that figure would be much higher but numerous teams were told they couldn't even compete. That high multiple of investment vs. prize is not uncommon. The X Prize has already attracted many times more than its value in terms of investment pursuing it. And oh then there's the unpleasantness involved with how GOOGLE uses prizes as a means of obtaining research-related breakthroughs.

Go ahead, tax leech, insult away. You prove NOTHING other than how badly we need prizes to liberate ourselves from self-serving gatekeepers like you. Nobody would fund YOUR prize pursuit, but that doesn't mean nobody would fund prize pursuits.
