Anyone who's been reading the milblogs over the past months know that armor has been a real supply problem, and that it's being addressed as fast as possible through the supply channels.
What's irritating is the picture the media is painting of incompentence and poor planning when, as Larry has pointed out elsewhere, this is just a typical case of having to adapt quickly to changing conditions in a war.
There are many other cases of such adaptation. There's a whole story behind how UAVs were pressed into early service, and adapted on the fly with weapons.
I saw a lot of predictions before the war from both pro and anti-war people. The inaccurate pro-war predictions have been trumpeted widely. You don't hear much about the many inaccurate anti-war predictions, which, as I recall, never included a massive program by the enemy of planting remote-controlled bombs under roads.
