If the press made a huge stink about missing armour in the run-up to the election it certainly passed me by.
Maybe a brief mention of the vests, but that kinda got lost in the whole 87 billion mess.
Apparently "the media unleashed every negative story they could dig up, the Democratic Party fired every political weapon in their arsenal" and yet pretty much left this uncovered.
If they knew then, and that was their goal, why wouldn't this have been all over the news?
"Bush is sending our troops to war with no armour!!!"
"My son would be alive today if Rumsfeld had welded on a steel plate to my boy's Hummer".
Might it not have been a better idea to run with this before the election rather than after it? (or are we veering to close to Hillary 08 theories here?)
It'll pass soon enough.
Totally agree.
"Rumsfeld must resig.......oh look, Michael Jackson!"
The american press is incompetent, most of the time.

The brilliant press
The whole thread (59 posts)
- Rumsfeld makes excuses for administration's incompetence
- Rumsfeld makes invalid excuses for administration's incompetence
- So is the armour adequate or not?
- Once again you prove your ignorance of military history
- Looking like another MSM soundbite attack.
