I know this ol gristled vet, its a sad story...Son was my best friend, and he died at 22. But ayway. He [the vet] spent several years living with the Khamer Rouge, fighting with them and training them. So its not really absurd to believe that even middle-weight swift boat officers were running guns to them. This was one of those open secrets of the early part of the vietnam way: some mountain tribes were CIA owned and operated.

As far as Kerry, dunno, but the reality in Vietnam has always been more complicated then what the popular story has been
