No one takes seriously any suggestion that men are inept verbally because the historical record doesn't support it. It's rather like the defense of the abilities of white people: there's less needed, except to defend wounded ego, because white people have so little to prove.
The cartoon says a lot about the wounded egos of men, but nothing about the neglected, ignored and mocked abilities of women.
