Seriously Tom... you didnt address a point I made... Christians are NOT an oppressed group and you know it! The hostility to SOME christians is only as a reaction to the devout forcing their beliefs and doctrine onto the general public...

You, of all people, should understand the backlash against a group trying to make others pay for and live by their personal faith. I have no animosity to those with religion- they can belive what they want and give all their money to their church, mosque, or synagogue- it is their choice. I dont really understand it, but its really none of my business.

NOW when they decide that I should live by the myth they have chosen, THAT is when I get angry... When Mormons wake me up on saturday morning to save me, Or when a preacher comes to visit (uninvited) after reading about the death of a close relative to tell me that while my relative is certainly in hell I still have a chance to recieve the love of Christ, well that is where my tolerance ends. (The latter example is true and marks the only time where I came close to threatening someone with a gun...) When they try to make stories from their particular storybook LAW that I MUST live by then BY GOD (pardon the expression) there is going to be backlash...

I dont care if you worship 'Cthulu the many headed Aztec demon god' just as long as you dont try to make your beliefs law or constitutional amendments and as long as you dont wake me up on a weekend to explain to me that the ripping of hearts from living sacrifices is a good thing. Believe what you want, just dont demand I take time out of my life to humor you...

If you have fervent belief- GREAT! good for you... have faith that if God wants others saved he will lead them to salvation... to your 'ONE TRUE FAITH'... quit trying to earn brownie points by declaring a war to save the souls of the unbelievers. Trust me- if there is a god worth worshipping then he HATES brown-nosers.

It is the devout christians that are waging the cultural war, the 'hateful nuts' that you hate so insanely are trying to stop them with peaceful and LEGAL means.

DEAL WITH IT, and be thankful for those that have fought hard in the past to prevent us becoming a theocracy...
