"So you think that it's OK to trample on the anti-establishment clause because such acts don't offend you?"

I think public servants should understand and obey the constitution. I think all private citizens should understand the constitution because it's provides protection from govt tyranny. I believe that if a private citizen [as long as it doesn't violate existing building codes in some area] can build a cross a mile high [whether on top of a mountain or not]. If someone wants to build mile high crosses, or mountain size Buddhas, or enormous Mosques, I don't think it's a bad thing. And it certainly doesn't violate the constitution- it's not possible to violate the constitution because the constitution restricts the govt. If private land is given back to the public, and it's accepted by the govt as a park, I see nothing in the constitution that requires the govt to destroy anything that might be associated with a religion which on that land. Though public servants who are charged with responsiblity of maintaining this land can make decisions about the land, accordance with the law- and this *could* include destroying anything on the land; but the constitution doesn't require them to destroy anything which is religious. In other words, if people in charge of the land are hateful, intolerant, anti-religion atheists, they may make it their mission to destroy religious symbols, BUT don't blame this sick perversion on the constitution.
