No. Let the dogs lie with the dogs.

In some instances civility is a handicap. When dealing with folks who are either developmentally challenged or ethically "diversified" it often pays to hire someone who works in the same level of communication.

A good example is you don't send in a Collie to win a fight with a bunch of Pit Bulls. The Collie is vastly more intelligent and dignified an animal and is completely out of place with the inbred mongrels. Its instincts aren't cued to the more degenerate "attack attack attack" behavior.

The same could be said for several posters here who live post primarily like inbred pit bulls. Civility and rationality mean nothing. They cling to their illusions and positions regardless. They attract equally tenacious posters, often frequently equally uncivil, who are better suited to these gutter brawls.

If someone naturally communicates on UHF they are poorly suited to communicate successfully with someone merely operating on HF.

A UN ambassador is a tool. A tool to represent one's positions. He doesn't need be a genius who comes up with the positions or thinks up improvements on them - all he/she needs to do is be the proper tool for as successfully as possible implementing and transfering US positions to UN policy and decisions.

In days past a man like Bolton would have likely been a disaster as a diplomat. In today's Pit Bull infested world he's much more suited to today's updated requirements.

I'm not saying I like it. I would love to return to the days when civility, ethics and morals still feigned significance among nations and peoples. As populations increase, 'deep' education levels diminish and popular culture continues to degenerate the common denominator - we will see the rise in profanity among all ages and classes, increased violence, unethical behavior and selfishness among the peoples of the world.

History is full of these upswings and downturns and I am surely not the first to lament the downturn. I have hope that when the educational depth increases among a broader segment of humanity, that this will bring about a new upswing, greater morality, greater compassion and also greater civility.
