Of course it doesn't mean rubber stamp.
But it doesn't mean attack and destroy the charachter of the appointiees either.
The Democrats have BORKED just about every appointment made by Bush. No matter what the office.
They are acting like a bunch of spoiled little brats. They are the ones who are making a mockery of "advise and consent".
Don't tell me that this type of fiasco is what the framers intended.
Oh, but then the Democrats routinely tell us what the framers intended is irrelevent: the constitution is living and breathing and can be changed to suit the circumstances as defined by the democrats and their liberal judges.
