I picked the obvious one because it was easy.

Take a look. The short list of possible Bush appointees for Supreme Court includes no fewer than 10 people not currently sitting on the bench of an appellate court, and some are not on the bench at all. This list is a little old, because it lists John Ashcroft as Attorney General, but all these people are, I believe, still among the living.
