re: Best wishes Lindy
Thanks for the sentiments guys.
I wanted to put him down last week while he was still walking and eating. Then he wouldn't have had to suffer through the weekend, which was a terrible end to a wonderfully long companionship.
It made a wreck out of all of us. It was painful to watch and we were helpless, as no consoling helped.
May I mention this to other pet owners and animal lovers.
If your pet is declining and has no hope of recovery, be merciful and put them down while they are still somewhat themselves. Otherwise, the vet is unable to find a vein for the euthanasia.
Mine had to take the needle into the heart.
It was horrible.
