Thanks for the sentiments; I'm moving forward.
The King Tut exhibit was awesome, humbling and gave me a renewed respect for the artisans from that time. They loved their leaders and it is exemplified in their detailed artwork. Some pieces were breathtaking.
The cases are built so you can walk around them and look at every detail.
My ticket was $25 and I went early in the morning, (with a Canadian egyptologist) before the crowds came, but spent almost 4 hours at the exhibit. You can easily do it in an hour and a half. Actually the last hour was spent at the Museum gift shop and the exhibit gift shop. Spent a couple of hundred there....couldn't resist! The pieces will go in my new house. (Isis was breathtaking.....wish I could have taken both, one for each window. I have collected Egyptian art for 20 years now, so I have quite a collection.)
You can get my email address from Robert, and my phone number.
I'll be heading down that way in a month or two for a grand opening of a friend's business. We can always meet for lunch. That would be a good start for the female Zoners. I think you'd be surprised to meet me as I am quite tame and very polite, nothing like I am over here....LOL
