JC came to save all the Universe

Hi Robert

Frank Tipler has written on the possible cosmic significance of JC's apparent resurrection here...

Omega Point and Christianity

...he has modified the OPT to take seriously cosmic acceleration - which he assumed was near the final singularity, not the first. His new version has the cosmological constant being due to the Higgs not being in its true vacuum state. To avoid endless expansion and black hole decay (which violates unitarity) the laws of physics require intelligent life to cause baryon-number violation (i.e. proton-burning) and drop the Higgs into its true vacuum state.

So how do we violate baryon number? Here Tipler gets religious - Jesus dematerialising at the Resurrection is a pretty serious violation. What if he could produce coherent sphaleron fields and turn matter into neutrinos? Thus his various vanishing acts in the Gospels are due to him dematerialising his body, then reforming it again out of the neutrino field?

Thus JC came to Earth to let us know this was possible and setting us up to develop modern science so we can use the knowledge eventually. But as Tipler notes mass-energy conversion is an incredibly deadly tool if misused so JC had to give us the ethics to handle it, and the Holy Spirit to guide us.

In his article he also describes the Holy Trinity in detail - the Father is the future End-of-Time, the Spirit is the past Beginning-of-Time and the Son is the boundary singularity that is co-existent with all space-time between the two. Because the Three iare joined they are one, but distinct.

Some additional concepts which I didn't get from that article alone, but are in different articles he's written recently are that (1) Aliens exist beyond our Hubble sphere to baryon-annihilate their parts of the universe, and (2) we're not the only Universe, instead God has created an infinite number which interact to give us quantum mechanics (i.e. the Many Worlds Hypothesis.)

Maybe that sort of physics-theology leaves you cold, Robert, but it's helping me find God as a palatable concept again. Just wish I knew how to believe without falling into belief's pitfalls.
