Hi Robert
The "heavenly matter" idea (which came up with a TM symbol next to it in my browser) parallels my own thoughts and Tipler's. I personally think Heaven, as usually imagined, is a parallel universe with a different time direction to our own. Also to live in it we can't be "flesh and blood" but need a form consistent with its physics.
Tipler imagines Heaven will be an emulated environment in the quantum computers close to the final singularity - which themselves won't be material (but still physical), but instead be high-energy solitons in the extremely energy dense environment of the "Big Crunch". Because he believes experiential time will speed up asymptotically an infinite lifespan will be experienced in Heaven. I suspect that there's some backwards causation that the Final Minds (the "Kingdom of Heaven" prior to the Omega Point/God) can use to 'translate' our physical pattern into the new medium of their era, and that they can exist throughout the time range of the whole Multiverse via the parallel world we call Heaven - but Tipler's the expert. Would be interesting to see what he thinks. To be a proper theology God's reach needs to extend to all time and Tipler's Present Singularity implies as much.
