"Playbook"
I'm still not letting you get away with the bizarre premise that Democrats were models of bipartisan incorruptibility during their long reign in power. The idea that they will only learn nasty politics by studying at the knees of the current Republican Party is even more laughable. Sleazy Democratic politics are legendary. "Chicago politics" wasn't a Republican invention.
I'm not buying the scenario of "regret for the old Republican Party" either. The anti-Republican rhetoric the Left is pouring out now varies hardly by a single word from what they poured out in the 1980s, and even earlier. I was there during the Reagan administration, remember?
Liberals must have memories like goldfish.
