Oh come on now. Posting that people that use some of the early tactics of Hitler's bunch might be on the road to becoming more like the Nazis does not say Bush=Hitler. You're reading way too much into the posts because of your pre-conceived notions of what you believe Bowser (and apparently any of the rest of us that agree with him from time to time) to be.

I'd say if anything you're exposing things in your own character that are far worse than anything you're accusing the rest of us of.

Hitler was evil incarnate by the time he hit the peak of his power but just being a Nazi did not mean you shared the same insanity he possessed. The party was made up of many ruthless thugs but probably a larger number of scared rats that went along to survive. There is this stigma with the word "Nazi" that conjures up Satan's hordes and yet there were very weak and ordinary people among its ranks.

It's still simply a word and an apt one to describe a political movement that went out of control. If it's the word choice that's busting your chops, give us a better one to use that describes a government that starts eroding personal rights, uses fear to gain power, and begins tearing down the foundations of Democracy under the threat of "outsiders" that wish to do us harm.

I don't think of Bush as Hitler. I simply think of him as a dodo. Not even Cheney. If he were to give one of those fiery "Seig Heil" speeches his ticker would give out for sure. He's more like Goldfinger.
