Leftist regimes HAVE to be anti-U.S., since blaming evil capitalism for the inevitable failures of their own economic and political policies is part of the standard operating procedure. Castro has honed this to a fine art.
Of course, Cubans don't as many choices about what to believe. Useful idiots in the U.S. don't have that excuse.
Do you really think any of this is new? Heck, if we had followed liberal-recommended foreign policy in this hemisphere in the 70s and 80s, most of Central and South America would have been little Soviet suburbs years ago.
