You just can't seem to get beyond the same ideological clap trap that sees every so-called lefist government as "Soviet" and ignores the reality of differing humanitarian impulses and prefers sitting with your fingers up your butt and looking for regime failure. Sigh.

Somehow people with your skills and talents have to divert your attention to how to not be hated as a nation, how to partner with these nations and develop relations based on commonalities rather than rail at dilfferences. If we do that, perhaps we can show by example how our way is the better way, allow them the dignity of self determination, and build ourselves some security instead of emnity.

It is amazing to see the continued demonization of the "soviet" model, when there is no longer any soviet state, and what you are fearing so greatly is merely smoke from the past that never had any reality.
